About

There are many ways to start this. We could have talked about this site is the only alternative for weak fantasy baseball everywhere. We could have talked about how fantasy baseball is the best fake sport of all time. We could have talked about how fantasy advice is more than looking at last season’s stats and doling out rankings.

Or we can tell what we really want to say while saying what we could have said.

But let’s look at the most important reason. What you have here is five of the best fantasy baseball minds around.

We are not some number-crunching nerds who look at stats without providing the bigger picture of fantasy baseball (well, Newspaperman and FreeSanJose are close, but that is another story). We are not some middle-age hacks that are trying to reach the 18 to 25 audience with weak one-liners or obscure pop culture references.

TheBaseballStars are highly-opinionated, argumentative and trained writers (with the exception of PoiDog) that have been brought together for one purpose: To tell the truth.

Fantasy baseball is not just about numbers, its about that gut feeling. It is that feeling that pushes to look at picking Hanley Ramirez over Alex Rodriguez (affectionately called Purple Lips by The Jon.) Or Roy Halladay over Josh Beckett.

Any hack can look at homers and rate a guy high. TheBaseballStars looks at the homers, combined with RBI, OBP. runs and overall hits to tell the whole story.

To put it simply, We are TheBaseballStars. We are the Champ-ee-owns.

And we have something for everybody. From the kiss-stealing wheelin and dealin sonovagun Poi Dog to the golly-gee antics of Newspaperman, we got you covered. Don’t like that? Then read the cocky organized confusion of The Jon or the argumentative, beat-a-dead-horse FreeSanJose. And for a refresher, check out Oz, arguably the best young writer in journalism today.

Our goal? To try to have fresh, interactive content every day that will keep you entertained.

Your goal? To keep on coming back and commentating or asking the questions that you have. Ask us advice. Compliment us, bag us, but write back. The current climate of fantasy baseball sites and writing leaves much to be desired. It is time we changed it. So strap in suckers, it’s gonna be one helluva ride.
